Flip-flop much? Wendy Davis should have a a new bumper sticker printed that says:
"Wendy Davis, Candidate for Governor & Lying Sack of Shit"
Check out her new positions on the issues this week.
WENDY DAVIS FLIP FLOPS ON ABORTION BAN – NOW SUPPORTS 20 WEEK BAN
“I would line up with most people in Texas who would prefer that that’s not something that happens outside of those two arenas. My concern, even in the way the 20-week ban was written in this particular bill, was that it didn’t give enough deference between a woman and her doctor making this difficult decision, and instead tried to legislatively define what it was.”
“The Supreme Court sets that viability and it probably will be revisited. It’s one that deserves that kind of reflection to determine whether that kind of constitutional protection should exist at a time period less than what it is right now. It was the least objectionable. I would have and could have voted to allow that to go through, if I felt like we had tightly defined the ability for a woman and a doctor to be making this decision together and not have the Legislature get too deep in the weeds of how we would describe when that was appropriate.”
WENDY DAVIS AGREES WITH GOVERNOR RICK PERRY
“I do believe that Governor Perry’s approach is a reasonable approach, that we as a state need to think about the cost of that incarceration and, obviously, the cost to the taxpayers as a consequence of it, and whether we’re really solving any problem for the state by virtue of incarcerations for small amounts of marijuana possession. I don’t know where the state is on that, as a population. Certainly as governor I think it’s important to be deferential to whether the state of Texas feels that it’s ready for that.”
WENDY DAVIS IS PRO-OPEN CARRY
“Obviously in Texas we have a culture that respects the Second Amendment right and privilege of owning and carrying guns — but we also, of course, have respect and understand a the rights and privileges of property owners to make decisions about what’s right for them. My position on open carry reflects my respect for both of those principles, and I believe that municipalities, school districts, hospitals, private property owners should be the ones that ultimately have a say as to whether this is right for them and their facilities.”
BREAKING: Wendy Davis' ex-husband announces he will take custody of the abortion position she no longer wants.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz penned an important article for The Wall Street Journal about THE most troubling aspect of the Obama presidency – his need for unilateral power grabs. Obama has defied the U.S. Constitution and mocked our nation of laws by bypassing the entire law-making process as it existed since the inception of the United States.
Cruz makes the point succinctly and artfully:
Yet rather than honor this duty, President Obama has openly defied it by repeatedly suspending, delaying and waiving portions of the laws he is charged to enforce. When Mr. Obama disagreed with federal immigration laws, he instructed the Justice Department to cease enforcing the laws. He did the same thing with federal welfare law, drug laws and the federal Defense of Marriage Act.
Cruz goes on to point out that Obama proudly and openly defies limits to Presidential authority:
President Obama has a different approach. As he said recently, describing his executive powers: "I've got a pen, and I've got a phone." Under the Constitution, that is not the way federal law is supposed to work.
In the more than two centuries of our nation's history, there is simply no precedent for the White House wantonly ignoring federal law and asking private companies to do the same.
Cruz sums it up, describing the danger to our Republic:
As Montesquieu knew, an imperial presidency threatens the liberty of every citizen. Because when a president can pick and choose which laws to follow and which to ignore, he is no longer a president.
Texas gubernatorial candidate, Wendy Davis (aka: "Abortion Barbie") apparently is still having problems with attention to detail. Citing the fact that the dog ate her homework, the Davis camp did not return the required questionnaire of an LGBT group seeking to endorse her for governor of Texas. The Stonewall Democrats of San Antonio refused to endorse any candidate who will not complete the survey.
The group did assure the media that they still “love” Davis: “We did not endorse her because of bylaws, but make no mistake; there is a lot of love for Wendy in our group,” said Elena Guajardo, a co-chair of the organization.
What's not to love - a woman who screws her way into politics, loses custody of her children and supports abortion from 20-28 weeks. Awesome!
Does this outfit make my butt look big? Nah. Its the 68" hips.
I’m going to eat at Chick-Fil-A in protest.
Houston Mayor Annise Parker “married” her partner Kathy Hubbard in a private ceremony in Palm Springs, California. Parker, to add to her list of bullshit statements, has previously said that she would NOT marry until gay marriage is legalized in Texas. Whatever. I wish she would move to California so Houston can get a real Mayor.
Shame on you Houstonians who voted for this ineffectual, sensible shoe wearing, overspending, dumber than a box of hair politician who has done nothing except spend and promote the gay agenda since she has been in office.
Supposedly, the husband/wife or First Lady or whatever she is (Kathy Hubbard) will not take advantage of Parker’s fiat. Parker took it upon herself to grant insurance and other benefits to same-sex partners without input from the voters or City Council. My prediction? Hubbard will be on the Houston city dole by year’s end.
Glenn Beck has gone righteous again. And I agree with him. Some silly bimbo with LA Weekly who is probably just old enough to be off of her parents’ health insurance policy wrote an inane review of the film, 'Lone Survivor'. She has obviously never read the powerful account of a mission gone wrong or met Marcus Luttrell, the Navy SEAL who survived to tell the real life story. Beck discussed the movie review that appeared in some rag called LA Weekly and invited Miss Nicholson (the snarky, talentless author of the review) to sit down with Marcus Luttrell and defend her piece.
Here is the unedited version of the first half of her "film review":
Here's a movie that'll flop in Kabul. Lone Survivor, the latest by Battleship director Peter Berg, is a jingoistic snuff film about a Navy SEAL squadron outgunned by the Taliban in the mountainous Kunar province. After four soldiers — played with muscles and machismo by Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch and Ben Foster — get ID'd by Afghan goat herders, they're in a race to climb to the top of the nearest summit and summon an airlift before these civilians can sprint to the nearest village and alert local leader Ahmad Shah. It doesn't go well.
Berg's flick bleeds blood red, bone-fracture white, and bruise blue. It's based on the memoir Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10 by sole evacuee Marcus Luttrell (played by Wahlberg) — and that's only a spoiler if you've ignored the title. Luttrell didn't exactly write his book. Rather than sitting in front of a word processor, he was back in action in Iraq. Instead, the United States Navy hired British novelist Patrick Robinson, who, among other embellishments, upped the number of enemy Taliban fighters from 10 to 200. Hey, whatever, man. Those aliens in Battleship weren't real, either.
Lone Survivor's problems are more complex than its Rambo-esque exuberance for machine-gun fire. The near-wordless second half is a deadly dubstep of bullets and snare drums punctuated with the occasional curse. Here's 90 seconds of dialogue transcribed in its entirety: "Goddamn, this sucks!" "Fuck you!" "Fuck!" "Damn, fucking burns!" This doesn't help advance the plot, which can pretty much be summed up as: Don't die. And the film actually gets worse when the guys open their mouths.
One can only imagine Nicholson, too plain to get a television gig, chugging her non-fat latte at her Lenovo laptop that her parents bought her for Christmas two years ago, dreaming of the day she will be followed around by the paparazzi like Khloe Kardashian.
Alas, like so many of these ignorant Carrie Bradshaws, Nicholson took to twitter to defend her ridiculous review and pour on some more snark.
Glenn Beck listeners: My review calls the SEALS heroes. My problems were with the director, not Luttrell: http://t.co/QgtG1Wie1u
Dateline: San Antonio, Texas aka: Obama “PROMISEZONE”
San Antonio City Council voted to pass a senseless ordinance that extends an alleged “non-discrimination protection” to lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders. The vote was 8 to 3.
The net result of the proposed ordinance is that it restricts free speech and religious liberty. It is opposed by gubernatorial candidate and Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, as well as brilliant U.S. Senator Ted Cruz who has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court 9 times during his career. There will no doubt be legal challenges due to constitutional concerns of this crazy city ordinance.
Texas Values President Jonathan Saenz released the following statement in response to the vote:
“Today a majority of the San Antonio City Council voted to approve a radical ordinance that a majority of the people of San Antonio oppose, even adding new language at the last minute. This ordinance will be used as a weapon against people of faith and family values just as other laws have been used in other states. The ordinance lacks transparency, lacks evidence of a real need, and is plagued with major constitutional concerns. The question now is when will the first legal challenge begin and what will the cost be to taxpayers at the end of the litigation that will certainly come.”
Hollywood’s B-list “comics” like Sarah Silverman and Zach Galifianakis will participate in a bizarre show billed as “an evening of comedy and music” to raise funds for Texas abortions. You, too, can celebrate twats for $60-$100 a ticket.
The “A Night of A Thousand Vaginas!”will happen at the Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles. The fundraiser is to benefit a pro-abortion group called “A Is For” to raise money for Texas abortion funds and combat abortion restrictions passed in Texas over the summer.
President Barack Obama announced five “Promise Zones” in an effort to spread his false meme of “income inequality.” Of course, these promise zones are a marketing tool used by the federal government to justify corporate, institutional and social welfare that will be granted to each of the zip codes. One of the promise zones is San Antonio, Texas. A bit odd since San Antonio has been reaping the benefits the Texas economic boom that are a direct result of conservative fiscal policies. The problem of inequality in San Antonio has one cause: Illegal immigration. In 1992, Rice University economist Donald Huddle estimated the cost of migration to Texas of $4.6 billion which he predicted would inflate to $10 billion by 2014. He underestimated.
Income inequality is caused by liberal immigration policies and official and unofficial "sanctuary" city designations. Open borders attract criminals and the lowest rung of society who, by definition, produce the least. The costs are primarily in areas of Education, Higher Education, Healthcare Services, and Criminal Justice.
Immigrants find there is no need to learn English and refuse to assimilate when they come to a city like San Antonio. They have children out of wedlock more often and are already undereducated. Because San Antonio is governed by notorious socialist mayor, Julian Castro (son of Maria “Rosie” Castro a known militant communist who helped establish the La Raza Unida political party in the 1970s), San Antonio has taken steps to promote legal taxpayer-funded education and welfare for illegal immigrants.
The fact is San Antonio’s statistics from the U. S. Census Bureau (2012) reflect the causes of the stagnation of wages at the lower end of the city's demographics - the inequality is almost entirely caused by the addition undocumented latino immigrant to the general population:
SAN ANTONIO STATS VERSUS THE UNITED STATES:
IMMIGRANTS MOSTLY BORN IN LATIN AMERICA - 77.1% Versus National Average 51.7%
FEMALE HOUSEHOLD NO MALE PRESENT - 15.8% (national average 13%)
HOUSEHOLDS WITH 1 OR MORE CHILDREN UNDER 18 - 38.4% national average 32.9%
UNMARRIED FEMALE BIRTHS - 37% versus national average 35%
HIGH SCHOOL Education - 83% versus national average 86.7%
SPANISH SPOKEN AT HOME - 34.8% versus national average 14.2%
DOES NOT READ/SPEAK ENGLISH - 10.5% versus national average of 6.1%
LESS THAN 9th Grade Education - 8.1% versus national average of 5.8%
Until the border is closed and the United States gets serious about the types of immigrants to accept, San Antonio and other Texas cities will suffer the consequences.
