The burning question of the day…Where will President Barack Obama put his presidential library? Well perhaps it should be where he spends the MOST time – on a golf course somewhere?
Luckily the powers that be, fueled by our tax dollars are looking into this burning question and the cities of Chicago and Honolulu are taking a page from Obama’s playbook and campaigning for the privilege to house the monument to Obama.
Always on top of critical issues, President Obama had this to say: "It is a tough choice, but it's not one that I've made yet.”
University of Chicago and University of Hawaii
officials have met with Obama’s and Michelle’s staffers. Hawaii offers a couple
of compelling reasons – the Legislature passed resolutions and there is a prime
piece of OCEANFRONT Honolulu real estate being held in reserve to house the
Presidential library.
Obama said, "Honolulu is my birthplace. It's the place where I grew up, and I met so many friends and fond memories, and it helped to shape me, so I'd like to find a way that after my presidency that connection remains. But, you know, I live in Chicago now, and that's where I grew up professionally."
Of course given the fact that Obama could have been born in Kenya and holds a Connecticut social security card – looks like there could be a couple of other places in the running?
