The family rescued by George Zimmerman after a rollover crash in Florida are terrified they will become targets for crazed Zimmerman hate mobs and have elected to stay quiet for fear they will be accused of portraying Zimmerman as a hero.
Mark and Dana Michelle Gerstle and their two children were pulled from the flaming wreckage of their car by Zimmerman after a serious accident on July 17, days after Zimmerman was acquitted in the Trayvon Martin shooting. Detractors have called out the jury’s decision and racism flames have been fanned by the White House and the liberal news media causing organized hate groups like the New Black Panthers to threaten to kill Zimmerman, his family and even his legal defense team.
'They are very grateful to Zimmerman for what he did, but they do not want to get involved," said a friend, who asked not to be named.'There is so much hatred directed towards him they have got to think about their own family. There are a lot of crazies out there. If they say anything in support of him it could backfire."
Zimmerman reportedly did not witness the accident but happened upon the scene of a serious rollover accident. Mark Gerstle, a 52 year old pharmacist, instantly recognized Zimmerman when he pulled him from the driver's seat of his overturned vehicle. He told firefighters: "George Zimmerman pulled me out."
Zimmerman made sure Gerstle, his wife Dana Michelle and children aged eight and four were safe before leaving the scene.
Proving once again, that he's a better man that the POtuS.
