MD Congressional Candidate Dan Bongino Weighs in on Reid Partial Shutdown

Late last night the House Republicans passed a bill to keep the government open which included a compromise on #Obamacare. They agreed to delay Obamacare for one year due to the myriad of both technical and operational problems and to eliminate the Obamacare exemption for members of Congress and their staffers.

Yet, despite the fact that Obamacare is clearly not ready for implementation, and despite the fact that 90% of Americans strongly object to the Obamacare exemption for Congress, the Senate Democratic leadership and the President went to sleep and refused to even go to conference to iron out their differences.

During my time in the Secret Service I have vivid memories of the disappointment I felt at watching the activities of our elected leaders during times of crisis. I have little doubt that the ruling class is war-gaming potential outcomes to determine the best political outcomes for themselves, not to make tomorrow better for our children.

This cannot possibly be the best we can do. We deserve a better tomorrow.
