Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is stunned at the sheer foolhardiness of the Obama administration’s latest “deal” with Iran, calling it a “monumental mistake” and a “grievous, historic error.”
Secretary of State John Kerry is on his way to Geneva after reportedly accepting Tehran’s proposals for relief from sanctions that are in place in exchange for Iran agreeing to limit some of their nuclear programs.
It is widely accepted that Iran is on the verge of fully realizing their goal of nuclear weapons; some have said they are as little as three months away from completion. The Obama administration has dithered and ignored the situation - much to the chagrin of the Saudis who have reportedly abandoned a decades old alliance with the United States, violated their nuclear proliferation agreement and are reportedly buying nuclear devices from Pakistan.
Netanyahu rightly pointed out that it took years for the economic sanctions against Iran to cause real pressure and as the painful consequences are finally being realized in Iran, to suddenly minimize the sanctions reduces leverage against the country which has repeatedly violated the NPT and displayed hostility with harsh rhetoric against Israel and the West.
"I understand the Iranians are walking around very satisfied in Geneva as well they should because they got everything and paid nothing. They wanted relief of sanctions after years of grueling sanctions, they got that. They paid nothing because they are not reducing in any way their nuclear enrichment capability. So Iran got the deal of the century and the international community got a bad deal. This is a very bad deal and Israel utterly rejects it. Israel is not obliged by this agreement and Israel will do everything it needs to do to defend itself and defend the security of its people." –Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu
Taking into consideration past behavior, It is doubtful that Iran will comply with the latest agreement to cap their nuclear enrichment program. Iran has long maintained they have been pursuing nuclear energy for purposes other than weapons (such as power and medical applications) even though their enrichment program is set up to produce reactor fuel and weapons grade material that could be used to create a bomb.
The negotiations have centered on Obama’s belief that, "Our job is to put in place mechanisms where we can verify what they're doing and not doing when it comes to their nuclear program." This is an impossible takes according to most experts. White House Spokesman Jay Carney further explained what the agreement would give up to the Iranians in the form of "limited, targeted and reversible relief that does not affect our core sanctions." Carney went on to say that, "the temporary, modest relief would be terminated, and we would be in a position to ratchet up the pressure even further by adding new sanctions."
Thus far, the sanctions have put extreme pressure on Iran affecting oil exports, gold and their freezing Iran’s funds I overseas accounts. This upcoming agreement would rollback all or part of those sanctions for mere assurances from Iran that they would limit the size and scope of their nuclear enrichment program.
As FOX News National Security Analyst KT McFarland said:
“I think were willingly being played… We are going to slowly but surely give up the sanctions… lift the sanctions… and the Iranians are going to pretend to stop their nuclear program, and we are going to pretend to believe them.”
And for you conspiracy nuts, there's this:
Obama begins with "O".
Oppenheimer begins with "O".
Coincidence?
Talk amongst yourselves.

Can't argue with logic like that........since sanctions didn't slow down Iran's Nuke program, then easing the ineffective sanctions should totes make them stop. Brilliant!!!! Obama must be the smartest man ever!
